Patella Femoral Syndrome Natural Health Healing TipsTry having some water as soon as awaking. Then drink at least 45 minutes before you eat. The water you drink now can sustain you for the next four hours for patella femoral syndrome, or patellofemoral pain syndrome (see video) treatment.
Kinesiological TapingThe use of this type of tape is to assist the patella in its tracking. Kinesio Tape and/or Mummy tape is advisable tape types. There are lots other useful taping techniques which use different types of tape. When treating PFPS, it might be recommendable that one apply tape in a medial trajectory across patella approximately 30 minutes prior to exercise or activity. To use Mummy tape, first measure how much of the tape would be used. Start from the outside of the knee cap to half way around leg minus around an inch. Cut strip, then round corners on edge of tape. This might help tape to not adhere to clothing. First apply tape without extra stretch to first half of knee cap, next apply around a 50-75% stretch for half of the tape medially toward the inside of the leg. Use last of tape to be applied without stretch to inner part of leg.
